- Select suitable fixings for the actual substrate.
- Protect building users and control access to the work area.
Installation quality checks
Position accurately
Align the guard so it covers the intended gap without twisting or restricting the door.
Fix securely
Use the specified fixing pattern and avoid overtightening, unsupported fixing points or damaged substrates.
Test progressively
Move the door slowly during fitting rather than waiting until every fixing is complete.
Complete a final inspection
Check the entire opening range, closing and latching, exposed edges, fixings and coverage.
Record the work
Note the location, product, installation date and installer, then add the guard to planned inspections.
